Hope one u guys have an answer cos its really disrupting my torrent life
Basically i was using utorrent 1.60 and kept gettin a diskoverloaded error everytime i hit a torrent at over 4mb/s on my seedbox ( fookin annoying), when this happened all my upload speed would kill to a halt while this torrent was downloading ( even more fookin annoying), so i though rite ill update to 1.6.1 but still keep gettin diskoverloaded error, it appears beside the dht disabled box at the bottom only when im hittin over 4mb/s (whats the point of havin box if u cant do over 4mb/s), im sure theres a reason for this and knowing the reason im sure will provide a solution well i hope anywayz, i did a little googling like i do with any problem that comes up that aint got a scoob about and came up with its somthing to do with how fast the data is written to the disk i.e downloaded to it, it gave a solution which was this....
ive found a few diskio options in utorrent under prefrences>advanced but not what he sais and i cant find any such option in advanced on the actual HDD so im stumped hence me posting here to wonderful knowledgeable FST`ersI believe it means your harddrive is having trouble keeping up with your download speed. If you alter the diskio.write_queue_size = -1 in advanced options to a value 2 to 4 times your maximum download speed, it may stop it from happening. So if your maximum download speed is 1024, then set it to 2048. Don't set it below 2048 or above 32768.
Anybody out there no what the hell im on bout.........
