Thread: Soundmax and vista - mic problem

    hi all, hope someone can help, my P5B motherboard has a soundmax sound chip High Defintion.

    but in vista i cannot get the microphone to work, i choose mic boost and then you can just about make out sound through it but i have recoring volumes set to 100%

    anyone know how to fix it, i have the latest drivers from asus website

    Try to download the audio driver from other website like soundmax or the chipset manufacturer site.

    I hope it's solve your problem

    yeah looked on their unfortunatly with soundmax they don't supply drivers, its says you have to visit the website of the motherboard maker

    I check asus website, your motherboard P5B is using an intel chipset. Why don't you try intel website and use Intel P965 chipset motherboard audio driver.
