Is it possible to setup homebrew games on new psp units? Think you have to downgrade it. Wanted to know if you can have a hard drive setup through the usb somehow? Any information or links would be great.

Have a unit with PSP-1001 K without the TA-082 mark inside the UDM door and has firmware 2.60 on it.Not sure if its best to go up to 2.71 and then back down or what to do.

The easiest FW to downgrade is 2.80. Go check the pspupdates.com forum, and look for a tutorial for downgrading 2.80. You could upgrade to 2.80, then downgrade to 1.5, then install a custom firmware. Works for all PSPs, with all motherboards, without GTA.
