Win xp add/remove

I am using winxp and i recently tried to uninstall some programs that i dont use and for some reason i cannot uninstall anything.It has the normal view when u click on add.remove but there is no tab to click remove what can i do?I have done a system restore and no good.

Click on the program you wish to uninstall and click the Remove button at the right side of that item.

thats what i mean there is no remove button

for some reason there are about 12 diffrent thing saying capicom and i never remember intstalling anythign like that,does anyone know anythign about this capicom thing also?

Would it be ok for me to post a hijackthis log?Hopefully there is something on there that explains why this is happeninng?

are you using an administrator account or a limited account? You can't uninstall programs if you're not using an account with admin privileges.

no its not an administrered account its my home pc.the problem just came out of nowhere after i installed a dvd converter program and now for some reason i cant unistall anythign.there a a bunch of prgrams starting with Cp and they have no filesize at the end Unlike the programs that i have installed myself which say the file size

Yeah it was installed as a M$ update.

I checked mine and have CAPICOM with a sub update (KB931906). I can only remove the sub update. Other than that all my "Change/Remove" buttons are still there.
