Just saw A Scanner Darkly and i really liked the visual and animation style they used. Any of you guys have a recommendation of a movie, doesen't have to be similar in genre or same animation type, but a eye candy-like visual animation. Please nothing like "corpse bride" or disney kids movie. THANKS~

The 1978 version of The Lord of The Rings uses rotoscoping extensively, in fact most of Ralph Bakshi's films around that period made use of the technique.

thanks, Zed. I will be checking those out and others like that.

    Nice thread.

A Scanner Darkly looks like those Charles Schwab commercials.

    They use rotoscoped animation.

Someone mentioned the old LOTR cartoons.. Bakshi also made a movie which is even better (despite that a lot of critics didn't seem to care for the animated LOTR) called 'Wizards'.. Classic, but the animation technologies are really old, but it does use rotoscoping like 'Scanner'..
