    In my opinion:
    speed: bittorent of course (but ftp is faster sometimes)
    content: eMule or bittorent, I can't decide
    security: I don't know

    Emule is the best for content old.
    Bittorrent is allways good for new.

    Those who say bittorrent have obviously never utilized Usenet. It's just silly. It isn't even a comparison.

    Speed? Max out your connection on everything you download, every time. Upload speeds? Who cares? You don't upload with newsgroups.
    Content? Usenet has the same day-to-day content as bittorrent trackers, but a whole lot more selection.
    Security? Nothing could be safer.

    Everything you say is of course true. But im a cheap bastard so im sticking with my beloved bt for now.

    For me, it's usenet all the way. It's fast, reliable and as secure as is possible in these big brother times. However, my news server only holds binaries for 8 days, so I do use bittorrent to get a lot of stuff. I always try usenet first, though.
