Thread: Torrentbytes?? whats going on

It makes sense for competing private torrent trackers to have a desire to see competition fail.

Then they should get a better host. Host your Torrent Sites in the Netherlands where torrents sites are respected and legal.

TBy has great host and a few servers....where they are hosted has nothing to do with it....they are not being attacked by the government. They probably pissed off some anti-P2P lamers with 2 much time on there hands

    Ugh, still down.

As an aside, can someone suggest an alternative that I should try to get into in case TB goes down for good one of these days, or for times like these?

I've used TB almost exclusively the past 2-3 years, have uploaded hundreds of GBs, and the negative of relying on that one site is when it goes down I'm kinda screwed. It seems every other site I try is either closed for new applications or only has 1 person on each torrent (and I can understand why). Could someone suggest some sites that I should keep an eye out for signups as an alternative for the long term? My loyalty to TB has kept me ignorant of other alternatives (and without invites, etc., to trade).

Thanks for the ideas. Feel free to PM if you don't want to respond in here.

I started off with TB (and TL soon thereafter). I've used those two pretty much exclusively for quite some time, not knowing much about other general private trackers.

I'll be sad to see TB go if it does, but the quality has unfortunately dropped a bit since I first joined over 100 weeks ago.

As for alternatives, I'd suggest TL.

Let's give the guys a chance to resolve the current issues, as they've put a lot of work into the site.

Don't desert them yet, but give them some benefit. If they fail to re-appear, then by all means move on, but give them that chance first.
