New Login System:

As you have noticed, we have updated our login system and added a new field 'pincode'.

Last months we have had lots and lots bruteforce attacks, some of them were with so many bots that the servers became un-responsive and nobody coudl access the site at some points.

Besides banning IP's with to many failed logins and other security settings .. the attacks kept on going... the problem wasn't that actually login's were found, but the constant extra load on the servers causing things to slow down.

I decided to take the extra step to add an extra login field aka the pincode.
This makes brute force attacking kinde useless and I hopefully will stop all that crap.

You prolly have seen other sites, where they use a Image instead and you have to type what it says on the image or where they give you a sum and you have to type teh anwser ..as a form of security.

I decided to not use that, since there are already programs who can read most of those images .. or can filter out a sum and give teh anwser.

Giving you all a random code is much better and prolly not to hard to remember after sometime.

You also got a new anoying random password, wich you can't change.
I know you HATE me for it .. and I will enjoy that for a week or 2

You will get the option back to change your password to something more simple for you to remember .. by then.

im major pissed right now because I cant get the new pincode because it still on my old registered email which now no longer exists of yesterday and I never had the fuckin chance to change my email got up this mroning notice im logged out and all grrrr

You can always try logging into their irc and see if you can straighten things out. Much of the staff seems pretty understanding.
But I am glad to see that PiV2 has started to be released to the public of the private... if that makes sense.
