This mouse came with my PC about six months ago. Now it keeps disconnecting for no reason. It is not the USB i think but it might be. The usb works fine when i connect my usb hard drive to burn a series or two so i can watch them on my divx player.

I just did a search for that Moakuo mouse. I'm not sure what it is exactly. Is it cordless?

Perhaps a link to the product could help us.

The results of a search at Gateway show: We substituted mike in your query because we found nothing for "moakuo".

Chances are that the USB cable is bad.
I have this problem with one of my old mice. When you move it it disconnects because there must be bad continuity in the wire at some point.
When it disconnects the optical light goes off and i hear the ding sound from windows, then it comes back on and dings again a few seconds later.

You've likely got the same problem. I'd recomend just buying a new mouse, they're cheap anyway.

You rich Canadians are quick to spend other people's money, eh?

My recommendation - as a frugal, fiscally responsible American- would be to completely strip the USB cable and connectors down to the base components, individual wire strands if possible.
Reconnect everything in your clean room (you DO have a clean room, right?) and then, using your ocilloscope (conveniently stored in the clean room), run full electronic diagnostics.

Then go buy yourself a new mouse because none of my suggestions will make a tinker's damn of difference- your mouse is borked.

actucally my pc is not even in my room it's in the area ya but im am in the basebent but the tv,desk and pc are all seperate since my pc might keep me up otherwise. It goes room, weight room and then TV room with my xbox 360,DVDR,DVD Divx player and TV. Then finally my PC and moniter.

@rosco u described my problem exactly I will look for a new mouse, I will log into my gateway acc and get a link to both products
