Thread: DVDRW not reading my DVD's that i burned with it.. WTF

    Lite-On SOHW version here.. dunno what the hell is wrong.. driver isnt on the web (i checked.. it aint on the liteon servers), and it worked up until ummm.. like a couple days ago when i installed a game with a CD disk... so.. umm, WTF?

    What driver were you expecting to find?

    All DVD/CD drivers are included with Windows.

    However, it is possible to get additional filters supplied with some software, maybe the game has installed one of those and it's faulty.

    Or alternatively it may have installed a rootkit. Check it out with the RootkitRevealer

    Does it read burned or retail CDs or retail DVDs?
    I've just replaced my Lite-ON SOHW with their SATA 20x model because it wouldn't read any CDs, blank, burned or retail but worked fine with all DVDs.
    There isn't a bargepole long enough for me to work on [a Sony Viao] - clocker 2008
