No your wrong you cant disconnect broadband without turning it off and that dont work anyway

also u can disconnect
if on xp go to your start bar open it
then under control panel is a button called connect to>
press that
go on the one u use to connect
disconnect
then press reconnect
easy
bloody hell i should know im on broadband
