    Alcohol and Nero are both very good. As far as CD-r's are concerned, stay away from the generic stuff. TDK, Fuji, and Sony are all good. I would stay away from anything not made in Japan, as the quality is muc worse.

    you might also consider burning the discs at a slower speed, such as 8x, i've noticed some of my discs recorded at 24x will not play, but all my 8x discs do.
