I saw this one today. I must say, once again Bruce didn't disappoint! There's tons of action which I really enjoyed. One thing I've noticed with these action movies like this is that the producers don't take into account human injury. The only injuries Bruce receives is a ton of cuts and one gunshot in the shoulder at the end of the movie (which was intentional). If you've watched this movie you'd know what I'm talking about.

    thought the movie was shit

couldn't help but think watching it how good die hard 1 was

no characters at all no villains with personality I gave a shit about

    not even John saying Fuck

no bit of humor at all in the entire movie

over the top action action action no slow down like other Die Hards had

we dont even get a background on what happened with John why does his daughter hate him so much.. whats the story with his divorce in the space of a day his daughter loves him again before he even comes to the rescue

I cant beleive ppl are giving this great reviews I thought it was terrible

Brilliant movie, the second best film of the year (Hot Fuzz ftw).

I'm pretty sure that turning Die Hard into some sort of father-daughter bonding film would have sucked big time. The film is lean with the background and heavy on the action (which, in an action film, is the most important part).

I just switch off that part of my brain that tells me these things are stupid when I'm watching a movie but they are fun to take the piss out of afterwards (and, let's face it, DH4 is full of challenges to our suspensions of disbelief). Though it would have been more realistic if he had broken every bone in his body when he jumped out of his car it would have made for a shorter and more boring movie. Though perhaps the rest of the movie could have been devoted to Bruce in his hospital bed and we could have found out just why Lucy McClane was so damned cross at her daddy.

I know it suppose to be action but how much is enough?

btw how many times have we seen a father daughter kidnapped blahblahblah im the hero movies? thats another thing I wanna rant about been done 1 billion times and I knew it was coming

I think Im just getting to old and lost my youth

I haven't watched it yet and I thought I was going to enjoy it until I read this thread. I'm not too bothered about the lack of a father-daughter bonding part of the film () but if it's true there's no humour in it and stuff like that then it really isn't going to feel like a Die Hard.

Oh good, Adster said "no bit of humour at all in the entire movie", but he lives in upside-down world so that may be why.
