I was trying to help someone in the bittorrent section and ran into a wall.

The member says he is on a fixed wireless network, and that he cannot change his IP address. Is this correct?

I didn't know there were any configurations which prevented a user from changing their IP.

I suspect it is more a case of doesn't know how to change it, rather than can't.

However, why would you want to change it? It's easier to set up port forwarding with a fixed address than with a dynamic one.

Did you tell him to go into his TCPIP settings and change his IP manually? That is about the easiest way.
