I've not had much luck with being honest. (concerning my felony conviction)

That's weird cuz like said, there are many jobs that don't give a shit but the actuall dishonesty will get you prefired.
You have probably been lucky that no one ran your social for conviction before.
Nowadays, in this security-minded world, they will mostly likely find out everytime.
You went to Uni?....or have you been assimilated into bratspeak?
Otherwise I understand.
I hope the best for you cuz due to the aforementioned security as of late, there may be little places that will hire into their IT department.
I'd apply like crazy, be honest upfront, and see what pops up. Grunt jobs like mine probably don't care but an IT department of a law firm, will most definitely.
I wouldn't want your Uni edu to go to waste. Plus you have military under your belt.
What did you do? Pm me.
Hey Doobster
i do background checks on people as part of me job, and a conviction 16 years ago is spent and is of no relevence unless that conviction gives cause for concern ONLY because of the nature of the job, ie someone who has been charged 3 times for drink driving and they've applied for a kid's bus driver's job.
Want me to kick some ankles for you?
