    Im the ultimate lazy guy and was wondering is the voice recognition is really worth the effort? if so can i buy any mic to do this or do i have to buy a special one or summat?

    A mic is a mic, it's the software behind that counts.

    Personally, I've never found it much use, but that may be simply that I haven't got the patience to set it up properly.

    If you use it with your keyboard and mouse, it can be really helpful. Such as closing a window you can just say "close that" but if you want to click on pictures its easier to just use a mouse. I guess you can say that voice recognition is good for simple tasks.
