    it's 8 bytes to a kilabyte then 1024kb to a megabyte

    It's 8 bits to a byte. 1024 bytes to a kilobyte. Its a power of 2, computers are digital.

    Hence bit (binary digit)

    i swear i aint lying its cos the wire goes on the pylons i think. in those storms last week sometimes the net just stopped working all together. unless i was hacked or something . in that case LEAVE ME ALONE

    @TheDave,

    If that's the case that your ADSL has poor performance in rainy weather then contact your phone company and complain. Do you also hear interference when using the phone? I had a family member that had the same problem about 3 weeks ago. They sent a technician and he replaced a wire at the pole and voila, problem fixed. (No costs involved).
