Msn Messenger 6 Help

well i just downloaded MSN Messenger 6.0 beta, i run the exe file and then this window pops up saing

MSN Messenger setup has failed with error code:'1601'. Please go to the MSN Messenger web site and download the software from there.

now i did that, same message popped up, i closed all other programs running in the background and tried to install, but i got no luck still. Ne ideas on what might be wrong?

A '1601' error means "You are trying to install an insecure and buggy program. Please try installing a better IM".

so does that mean i can't install this program on my system at all?

if youre trying to install the public preview that was released a couple days ago, make sure you have the right one for your operating system.

i was gettin the same error message a couple of days ago. i uninstalled the windows messenger and msn messenger 5.0 and then tried installing msnmgs 6.0, it didnt gimme any error message. try doing dat.
