Grey Avi Files

Hi,

While playing my .avi DivX files in Windows Media Player9, there is no video displayed at all, the window is just grey. However, i can hear audio from the files. I could play the same files earlier without any issue.

Now for the wierd part, I can play these in DivX Player 2.0 alpha and can also see the previews for the files if i click on the file properties but it just wont play in Media Player like it used to?????

I have already tried uninstalling an reinstalling WMP 9 as well as the latest Kazaa codec pack but it has not helped.

Ideas anyone??? please

the codec has had its contrast , brightness settings set to zero. I don't know how to change the settings in WMP9, in BSplayer its in options -> preferences -> divx codec (or something like that).

Thanks Ilw. That worked . Somehow Windows Media Player was using BSplayers DivX settings . The only way I could get that corrected was to adjust the setting within BSplayer as changing WMP's settings showed no result.

Anyhow all is fine now
