    Actually almost all trackers are really crap compared
    to 0day (even 0hour ) Direct links like Rapidshare,Megashares, FTP, etc...
    For me BitTorrent in general is over rated...

    But Rapidshare, don't even think about that. Yes I'm aware that very much web-warez use file hosting services like that and Rapidshare happens to be the most popular one - what's good for the uploader isn't necessarily good for the downloader. Doesn't RS have a download limit of ~8GB per day with your pay account? If one agrees to spend money on this stuff, why not choose a newsgroup provider instead?

    Back to topic: I think the most overrated trackers are general 0day ones with less than 5k users. They may be rare, they are surely desireable for many but they are nothing special compared to a multitude of alternatives. There's also this foreign tracker hype which is just crazy to go along with - some are good and some are mediocre but that doesn't matter to most guys.

    Well if you paid for it that's sucks, but if you know how to upload and share links with load of people it isn't a problem to get a premium for free like i first had in the beginning...

    Then yeah there is a limit : "You may download 25 GB within five days" and yeah it's fair...since the download speed is actually unlimited that's why it's fair...


    For the topic : Some trackers are really over rated and have few old torrents and claim to be the best and stuff well i have to say that, i prefer good speed/rarity/scene releases in the same time...But you have to get to some hidden trackers maybe.

    Most overrated trackers? UK-T, FTWR and FSC. If this trackers would have open signup forever, nobody would want them, but now they are lvl9-lvl10, so every level-freak wants it

    I really don't see why ANYONE would find OiNK overrated. Even if you could find all the albums somewhere else, OiNK has the highest quality standards I've seen (other than maybe e****, but they don't allow any lossy formats).

    I personally think too much emphasis is put on pretimes for 0day trackers, since most 0day places get content within 30 minutes of each other. I'm on SCC currently, which has good pretimes, but I've been looking around for something a bit more private (don't wanna get caught) and a nice community.

    Edit: oh, and what's with people calling trackers overrated because they're not rare? Last time I checked, the point of joining these sites was to download stuff and maybe make a few friends on the forums/irc. Seems all people wanna do now is collect rare sites and show off how "1337" they are...

    i do not see how e is overrated; their lossless rips are so much better than the ones on oink (obviously not the same degree in amount of uploads), probably because the uploaders that rip them actually know what they are doing, same with pedro's btmusic
