I got this application pack via e-mail from Hilton but I can't open it.
When I download it on the PC it comes up as a unknown file.
Tried opening it with Word and Notepad but I get only funny looking symbols.

Tried opening with access, powerpoint, excel, adobe reader and internet explorer but none of these programmes allow the file to be opened

There is no option to look for a programme online to open the file.

    Any ideas?

have you tried changing the .whatever to .doc or .exe or something?

It has no file name like .doc or .exe.

tools>folder options>view>uncheck hide extensions for known file types

It's not checked, so I can't uncheck it.

tho' saying that, it'd only be hiding the extension if it new what the file type was

    lmao

When I open it in Word at the very top it says :

    € IPM.Microsoft Mail.Note1

I can't seem to find anything about IPM files.
Microsoft mail is what goes with Outlook, is it not?

It'd be easier if you add it as an attachment to this thread, and then we can have a go, rather than playing this game.
