I'm stuck! I'm trying to find a music database (ie.imdb, but for music)

I need a site that gives date of release!

Can anyone help??

Yeah! Cheers dude, I can use it but it gives you re-release dates not origional

For Classical Music All Classical Guide ( ACG ) : http://www.allclassical.com/

Release dates/years are usually available also at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com

Let me add http://www.freedb.org It has almost everything I ever searched including the time.

and http://www.gracenote.com/music/ AKA www.cddb.com this also includes very rare release but it doesnt have much info.
