Sorry to say it but WMP for XP. In full screen I can jump to different parts of a movie and it has a good layout. Drawback is I can't use QT or Real Alt.
Jet Audio can playback all formats include everything in codec pack, QT, and Real but I don't like the interface as well. It's a good all for one solution though.

mplayer is actually the best but it was written under linux. There are windows versions but there're not stable yet imho. The old 6.4 version of Windows Media Player is a classic. Probably best to stay away from the divx player because it is buggy.

I agree with Busyman and disagree. I think Jet Audio has a great and simple interface. It's by FAR the best in my opinion, for every type of file. It's gat a great simple album selector for mp3's, plus its got a cool lottle remote control and recon bar as well, and for the movies, the hot key buttons are greatly laid out. I mean for pause and play---the spacebar. It's big and right there, no more looking for that damn "p" on the keyboard in the dark when watching a porno. Anyway JEt Audio is my recommendation, though it's a larger size download than the others, it doen'st use your comps resources as well, no more than wmp 9. It's the only player you will need.

    B) Has anybody tried EO Video? This program converts all formats and plays all, also.
