Wow I can't believe how close it is!

Well I have held back my comments long enough. It's not close. I won the first poll. Now I'm winning this one.

The rules of this contest keep changing. New rules each time that we were not made aware that this is the way things would go. The first poll was supposed to be one (1) logo per entrant with the entrant to choose which of his creations would be in the poll. Then VB put up the poll with too many choices. Some of my logos (but not all) were included, even the logos that were posted as "in development" and were meant as examples so I could hear peoples suggestions and ideas. Many of my logos in the first poll did very well.

In fact I still don't understand VBs method of choosing the finalists.

The votes in the first poll were as follows.

1- Somebody1234.5 --------- 45 votes
2- Somebody1234.4 --------- 37
3- Illuminati 1 ---------------- 34
4- Illuminati 3 ---------------- 32
5- Somebody1234.1 --------- 15
6- Somebody1234.2 --------- 15
7- tite-wad 3 ------------------ 15
8- motionmaster 1 ----------- 13
9- motionmaster 4 ----------- 13

If you look at the title of this thread it says:

Kazaa Lite Forum - Logo Contest #2, the 5 favorites; choose again now

So if the first poll told us the 'favorites' then why is motionmaster 4 logo even in this new poll? Why was motionmaster 4 chosen over mtionmaster 1? Why wasn't motionmaster 1 there too so that each of us would have 2 logos to vote for? Can't you see that I am at a disadvantage because my votes are split between 2 of my logos? And I am still leading. What about tite-wad 3 logo? And what about my other logos that were ahead of motionmaster?

Anyway this contest rules have not been clearly defined at the beginning nor has there consistancy during.

Clearly more people have voted for my logo since the beginning so what are we talking about? Not listening to the popular vote?

And I see some have talked about a third head to head poll. I say NO. What would be the purpose. I have won 2 times already. Even if he were to win that vote it would mean... I would have won 2 times for his once.

I say thank you to those that helped me making the logo and also, thank you to all that voted for the logo.

Maybe the rules could be clearly set in the banner contest before so people will know what to expect. So lets finalize this and then move on to the next contest. By the way I will not be participating in the banner contest.

i concur, the lack of organisation and critique severely effected this comp
in trying to encourage feedback i shot any chances i had of winning in the foot [the 15 odd entries from me should not have been entered in the poll together]

i never remember rules anything like that clear being instituted in the first poll [i wish i had]
the best method of organising loose virtual communities mutual efforts is yet to be found,
i think that these posts should be seen through "the &#39;how can this be done better in the future?&#39; glasses", rather than with "the specs of regret".

Okay, I&#39;ve been away 2 weeks and this debate is still going?

IMO, Somebody 1234.5 is the most refined image...

The pic&#39;s background gradient is nicely matched to the area the image will be sitting on, so it&#39;ll look more suitable than any other pic. The blue K-Lite logo is the icing on the cake... the only thing I&#39;m not too fussed about is the text used for "Discussion Board"

I fkn HATE the bloody animated pic. The blue stroke around the lettering just doesn&#39;t work, but that&#39;s the least of it... 56K for me, and that sucker took about 8 full minutes(&#33 to load.

What is it with this forum and spinning text .gifs anyway? Turn &#39;view signatures&#39; on and they pop up like weeds.
It&#39;s bad enough with the slow connection, but it&#39;s even worse when board traffic gets heavy...

motionmaster&#39;s contender is fairly good, but the "Kazaa Lite" text seems to be a bit plain, and the background isn&#39;t matched gradient wise.. if this is because the image is a work in progress, then I retract my comments. However, I DO like the "Discussion Board" text in this case.

So the PERFECT image (IMHO) would be a collaboration between the 2 leaders.

Somebody 1234.5&#39; logo, Klite text and gradient background with motionmaster&#39;s "Discussion Board" text. That would look terrific and BOTH leaders would win.

After all, isn&#39;t sharing what this community is all about?
