But, just because FT is dead, doesn't mean people won't continue to use it in small groups. Therefore, although I myself may not bother to use it, I will leave it running so that my files may always be accessable.
Hail to thee, Kazaa Media Desktop, for screwing over the end-users of this country, sleeping with the enemy, and then driving away your loyal community.
Kazaa now reports only 4 million users, a significant drop.
Watch, because over the next few months, only a few thousand will remain.
    Jon

My personal experience would indicate otherwise, but we'll just have to wait and see, as you suggest.

BTW, I've always doubted the accuracy of the number of users online and how many gigs they are sharing. I think it's just a guestimate, just like the download speed figures that Kazaa generates.

Hey Paul, try and remember. A lot of people. when they can't find sources, they leave and create a bigger problem. I won't do that. I'll continue to share my sources, so that my leaving doesn't cause another problem.

I'm still here, but what you say is all too true, they are due allianate us completely in due time, and as I've said before this network is filled with fakes, malicious code and snoops, sad to say. At this point I only dl media via verifieds here.

If you need to read more about the demise of KaZaa there are 3 links in my sig below.

    KaZaa Farewell.

That's is just drivel and not up to your usual standard.

Anyway, as your agenda is anything but hidden I will reach for my salt before considering your points. On the assumption I can decipher them.

Here'z my thing. I love downloading more than a few things from Kazaa, a list which basically starts and ends with porn.
Now I'm fine downloading a good Vivid movie from K-Lite, but one of those obscure little foreign titles often ends up being kiddy porn, or some shit like that.
FT is full of these things, badly named, often disgusting crapola.
If you like trying to download a line of movies and ending up with some wacked out German guys sh*tting on each other, be my guest.
But I'll go with a network where things are appropriately named.

Hey wangdoodle, I ain't ragging on Kazaa, or Sharman. I'm not saying that it's Kazaa's fault. Kazaa is an awesome product, and FastTrack provides a nice amount of stuff at good speed. My thing is exactly RIAA shit, so get your penis out of your ears and listen up.
People are being scared off of Kazaa by the RIAA. When the RIAA said they would sue hundreds of Kazaa users, 16% of the KMD users jumped ship.
Sure they come back, but have you noticed how your sources are getting fewer?
    People are being frightened off.

My usual standards, I'm flattered, though you may be right.

I guess I made my point more clearly HERE.

My agenda is simple, I wish we could have a network like Fast Track without the owners (Sharman) sleeping with slime (spyware, logs, and so forth), and selling us out, they just don't give a shit about us, and after all it is owned by them, not k-lite. Nor I am happy with where KaZaa is headed with their newer 2.5 version as you can read HERE and HERE.

In addition I would like also like to see a network like Fast Track with better security for all, not just those that have to trail down software like PeerGuardian, and I do not expect Sharman to step foward and do this. The only thing I see that may be able provide all this is ES5, which offers proxies and SSL use within their program. Though the GUI needs improving and the user base is still small. Though it seems to be growing slowly.
