Setting Up Seedbox in Ubuntu

I have followed the guide here:

I now have a problem... I get to stage 6 with no obvious errors, but when I open and login with tightvnc, I get a blank screen. I have also tried with Real Vnc and UltraVnc, exact same thing happens.

This has been tried on XP and Vista machines.

btw, this is my first time ever using Linux, so probably just a user mistake, so any help would really be appreciated!! Remember, I'm a novice!

EDIT: Does it have anything to do with this: http://www.linode.com/forums/archive...nk_screen.html ? If so, how do I add this?

Turns out the install line from the guide didn't work, so had to install fluxbox, works fine now
