I'm pretty sure directx 9.0 and media player 9.0 can't be uninstalled. When, media player 9 first came out and it worked for sh*t many of us had to do a clean install of windows to get rid of it. Once, I repeat once, and I'm not sure which version of xp I was using, I did a new install over an existing one and was pleasantly surprised to find all my files still there. But I wouldn't count on being as fortunate. It caused a huge mess anyway and I had to reinstall every program again even though the installed files were still there. Back up what you need, and do a format and clean install if you really need to get rid of it. It's good to start fresh every now and then anyway.

Don't some games ignore hardware settings and actually use DX 9 anyway?
I use it with a VooDoo3 and have great results.
Maybe you just need a better VooDoo driver.
There's some really good third party and beta drivers that'll wake that card up.

Pretty simple. You can either go to your desktop and click on the D:\ and it'll ask you if you want to reinstall it or it'll ask you if you want to wipe out everything and reinstall a fresh new windows xp.

Do you think DX9.xx could now select what software to support?
