Want to make it go even faster![]()
Try port 49151 don't just use that port or you'll slow it down. Try 49000-49151 They all seem to have about the same speed.![]()

sorry "WooriedGuy" im a fellow 56k'er and there is really nothing you can do...the most you can hope to d/l is 6kb/s (if ur lucky)....but 56k normaly d/ls @ 1-4kbs

Ok I have a 56 k connection through local phone company. But I can only connect at 30 k. A buddy of mine works for the phone company and he said the reason why is because the town is small so the phone company is keeping the connections slow to save bandwith and or money. I tried the tip and I'm happy to report it is working for me. My regular dl speed was about 1 kb to 2.4 kb now its rock steady at 5kb.
yea baby go lol

u all make it seem like these ports represent registry tweaks for more bandwidth...so confused..but it works n thats all i care about![]()
If you're just changing ports and you're on a fixed ip address sharing a lot of files, then you're STILL getting hammered by old upload requests on your OLD ports.
Before long, your connection may NOT see an improvement in speed when you change ports again!
