Thread: help with windows media player and KVCD/VCD

  1. #1
    Hi,

I'm having an issue when I try to play Video CDs through Windows Media Player. Basically it plays too fast/the time is wrong. Basically all movies are limited to 2:05 or 2:08 seconds.

The movies usually are compromised of bins and cues. I use the latest Alcohol 120%, make a virtual drive, and mount the cue on the virtual drive.

I can play the movie fine on VLC Player and even Cyberlink PowerDVD.

    - I have installed the latest VistaCodec pack, but that didn't help.

I had this issue sometime back and I resolved it, but for the life of me I can't remember or find the solution to fix it.

Any help on what I may be missing?

    Thanks.

Edit: I am running Vista Ultimate

have u tried using Windows media Player Classic, it consums less resources than Windows media player, plus with the right codecs installed u could play any.

if u really wanna watch VCD on Windows media player, i would recommend updating vista or reinstalling windows media player.

Then why bother with WMP11? Media Player Classic works fine, fast and consume less memory too if you want to give it a try.
