I've been trying to search through the internet but using a search engine now adays is practicaly useless (like 4 pages of nothing but porn hits) so i was hoping to reley on word of mouth through the forums. I run a prog called steganos internet privacy from a PCW cover disc (I've also seen it on kazaalite in German) which I have assumed would cover my tracks, can anyone confirm/deny this?

you could runa firewall or peerguardian and and so called known ip ranges to be blocked..this is not a definite way to become safe..it relies only on info gathered by users for ip ranges that are suspect of being for BAD ppl such as iraa and warner bros etc...it can also accidently block users who have nothing to do with those BAD ppl and innocent websites...it wont be perfect but it is better than nothing if your worried...make sure you update the ip ranges regularly to fix GOOD ones and to block new BAD ones..once again it isnt the perfect fix..

Wether its illegal to download music etc is a matter of where you're located.

Its illegal to upload copyrighted material in the UK but NOT to download it, for example.

There are even some places where copyright means absolutely nothing...so get a proxy in one of those places if your very paranoid.

Anime, or Japanimation, people call it cartoons, but seriously people, its not, my questions pertains to anime.

Anime that has been licensed in America, IS illegal to download correct? But, anime that hasn't been licensed here, and is ONLY available in Japan is TOTALLY legal to download from Kazaa or iMesh or Grokster or Morpheus etc etc, correct?

The same for music, music that has NOT been released in the US yet, such as JPOP(Japanese music) cannot be illegal to download because it is NOT available here at all, it hasn't been licensed, so the goverment can't say crap about copyright infringement or whatever, am I correct about this as well?

If I AM correct, I think all you guys should start learning a different language *cough* Japanese *cough* and start liking anime, because they CAN'T get you for that...right?
