no. you need to make a CD image, a good prog is alcohol 120.
to simply put all files on the cd in a rar wont do shit, it'll be completley useless.
you may also need to crack the copy protection, if anyone else is going to have any fun with your cd image.

And you'll need to know a lot about compression. And alos you'll need to know what you can take out of a game.

its more complicated than you think. most things on bittorrent are for people with really fast connections so they dont mind about the file size.

I have never ripped a game, but all these people are giving you instructions on making a backup. You and I know that rips are FUNCTIONAL games with useless crap ripped out, like music, video, speech, etc.

I think if you are going to make a rip, you figure out which files are the game files and which files are the files you want to rip. Then you usually have to edit something so the game doesn't go looking for your ripped audio etc. Then you include a key from your registry so that other people can play it.

It probably isn't that hard to do.

Why would people want ripped games?

in that case - no one does it because it takes to damn long, we have no idea how, and if we had the game already why would we want to make a rip of it? - WE ARE NOT GENEROUS PEOPLE
