This has always confused me...
The British were only ever in 13 of the 50 States.
Shouldnt Texas, Louisianna, Florida, California, New Mexico etc etc be celebrating on a different date? I mean when they broke free of Spanish/French rule or something?
And what about Alaska and Hawaii? They were bought...do they celebrate the date of Tranfer of the Title Deed?
Never mind, happy 4th July anyway....
