    Im sry im stupid but how do you encode movies and videos and stuff. can i do it with Windows Media Player, quicktime, or realone player? if not, what do i need. is there a special way to do it. what are bitrates and all that? please help.

    use the FourCC code changer which is in the k-lite codec pack...

    I personally like flaskmpeg to encode programs and stuff, it's super easy, and super helpful, and if you're stumped, there's a helpfile for anything. Xvid, as I've said before, rules, but I don't know how to do 2-pass encoding yet, I'll figure it out soon enough though, mind you, and when I do, I'll tell everyone.

    As far as i can tell, in DivX when setting 'output format options', click configure and you can configure it there i don't know if this works with Xvid,

    It also up's the file size so you'll need a bitrate calculator to work out the numbers B)

    Just download Dr. Divx, that makes it all so easy!
