Didn't need the help.I saw The Deer Hunter in the theatre a long time ago and that and a similar scene made quite an impression on me.

Anyway it's either The Deer Hunter or The Karate Kid and although similar headwear was involved I don't remember Ralph Macchio getting his brains blown out.

As much as I would have liked that.
