I have RR and I use their servers just fine.Type "news-server" in the server address in your newsreader, user name and password not needed.

For the server address, put:
news-server.socal.res.rr.com
If that doesn't work, try:
news-server.socal.rr.com

By the way , do u guys can use SSL?

Anyone here use charrter for newsgroup access? I tried using them, they had all the main groups that my current provider gives me but im stuck downloading at only 23kbs...
