ok this is what happend...

The UPS driver had a heart attack at the wheel or something and the van was heading toward the park when some guy who happend to be in the park at the time for his own outdoor wedding bash noticed he had lost a button on his jacket so anyway his soon to be mother-inlaw who always carrys a sewing machine with her (as they all do) well he seen the van and grabbed the machine and threw it at the driver which knocked him from the vehical just intime before the van plunged into the cold lake!!
