fuckin' TV picture's gone up the spout. Funny colours all over it.

Less than 2 years old and out of warranty. The bloody batteries in the remote control have lasted longer.

I can think of a few different reasons...

    1. the tv had overheated, causing problems or
    2. you were hallucinating the night before.

I'm of a mind that some magnetic field affected it.
I have reprimanded both the DVDRW and DVD Surround systems and although they swear they had nothing to do with it, they've promised not to get too close to affect it in future.

Hallucinate? What do you think I am, a young person?

Umm, I've treated many older people that still do drugs such as acid, meth, weed, etc. so no age comparison needed.

I'd go with the Magnetic field. this happened to me awhile back when I had a large speaker
sitting to close to the TV.

Had a power cut the other day, probably with a big power spike. Caused my pc to lose it's settings, even through a surge arrester. Didn't affect the TV but it did make the Freeview STB give a nasty buzz on the audio.

A power cycle on the STB cured the buzz.
