My computer is on 24/7 (My machine is stable and does not crash, I only re-boot when Windows is asking for it)

It depenends on your os

98 should be restarted every so often
xp can be left on but mine start to slow down after a while
try win server 2003. that should work for a long time

If i remember well theres tons of hardware it doesn't have drivers for and playing most games is fairly unlikely.

technicly there is no reason to restart a PC at all (I've had machines that have been on 5years+ with out a powerdown/restart)
The only thing that forces restarts is the OS due to it's instability

To exceed more than about a couple of weeks of uptime (normal usage) on a computer u need error correcting ram (much more expensive) otherwise even if the os is perfect a fault in ram will crash it. Suns and other unix machines which are left on permanently all have ECC ram.
