Spiritualized are really the masters of packaging. They're released CDs in blister packs

That was CrumbCat's cover for the very first post of this topic! (see CrumbCat's quote below)

Seems to me CrumbCat beat you to that one, jetje! - And after having looked around Musicworld for the last 2 days, it seems to me it's going to be hard for people not to duplicate the albums and covers he/she has already posted. There are several which I had never heard of, so I gave them a listen and so far they have all been enjoyable.

Nice call Lemon-Lime! Thanks for watching my back.

This one reminds me of the 1979 classic rock opera Quadrophenia:

A few tasteless covers from the 70's:

    Nancy's Greatest Hits

    Nancy, Nancy, Nancy.
    Daughter of Frank (RIP), Nancy.
These boots Are Made For Walking is a great tune. You even get to sing with Frank (RIP) and Deano (RIP2). What a fine album, greatest hits indeed. Nancy's shirt and dress went on to star as a pair of curtains and a tablecloth in Eastenders, Nancy sadly, did not.

    Watch Out - Barrabas

Musically this is all very nice and groovy. Lets look at the cover shall we. Now let me get this straight, the scene depicts a topless brunette mermaid, no hold on they're scales of a reptile, not scales of fish. No mermaid this, no friends, it's a dirty snake woman, just waiting to bite! Oscar Brown Junior, Al Wilson anyone?
    Watch out indeed.

    Top Hits Of 1970

They promised her fame, they promised her fortune, they neglected to tell her that her 15 minutes of fame would be on the cover of this awful record. That 15 minutes is perhaps a little optimistic, 15 seconds is closer to the mark. It would take you about that long to realise that these hits are "sung and played in as near a manner to the originals as we can make them"! Can there be a crueler piece of small print to vinyl monkey?

    Hot Hits 20.

This ginger lovely is said to have had a major impact on the young Charlie Dimmock. A precursor to the braless one this brave lady stripped down to her Costa Bravas to go fishing to the wonderful tunes of Smarty Pants and Say has anybody seen my sweet Gypsy Rose. Its a lass in a bikini right, she's got a big rod in her hand, and she's like, fishing? Pure genius.
And by the way the back of this record was deemed to pornographic to appear on this family orientated site.

    16 Chart Hits Volume 12

Nothing really to say about this one. A coy Cabaret artiste is obviously a fine way of selling the quality hits on this LP. As we can see by volume 12 ideas were getting a tad thin on the ground.
Now That's What I call Music started off with a pig on their covers..
