All you guys might want to consider running BootVis (available free from Microsoft.com). It will analyze the order in which drivers, etc are loaded during boot and then shuffle them to speed up the process.
My Norton loads with no problems at all.
You might also consider using some sort of program (I use NeoTweak) to figure out just exactly what programs/processes are really opening up on reboot.
BlackViper.com is a interesting site to explore just exactly all that weird stuff is and whether you really need it at all.
You can realize significant improvements to boot speed by exploring both options.
