I just downloaded Shareaza and it RULES!!!

I's just so easy to use, so many features, and you'll love the way to set it up. It's jam packed full of stuff, like connecting to different networks. If anyone knows how to connect to BT, please tell me, I click Network -> Choose Network, BitTorrent's not there.

Shareaza is incredibly fast when using the G2 protocol.

It would connect to FastTrack if it weren't for Sharman,

I would strongly recommend downloading Shareaza, there is no spyware, ads and no popups whatsoever !!!

You know what? This would have probably gone like the other ads for P2P software, if you weren't shooting yourself in the foot.

You've just proven one well-documented problem of Sharazaa - It has problems with connecting with certain networks. What makes good P2P software isn't how many networks it can connect to, it's how many it can do well. And not to give (much) offense to Sharazaa users, the current version still has that problem.

Doesn't that kinda eliminate the point of naming it similar to Kazaa?

Seriously though, it's known it can - I think its just that there's a problem in your end. Probably a PICNIC (I'll explain in a later post)

Am I the only one seeing a pattern here where a lot of easily excitable people preach just one P2P software (doesn't matter which) and the regulars prefer multiple P2P software?

Having multiple P2P softwares for specialisation isn't that bad and doesn't hog system resources that much. If you want to go on about Shareaza like a b-grade infomercial that's your problem, just don't do it here without some other point in your posts

except that es5 has shown that it has a lot to offer, and is a lot more secure

Of course it has a lot of offer - Everything in theory has a lot to offer. Design & Implementation can usually be two seperate things in the end though.

I&#39;m sorry if I seem a little anti-ES5 at times - Just that IMO quality can usually speak for itself rather than having spasticks (e.g. Tie2Me) spamming it on other forums like their opinion shifts mountains or masquerading as key KL members.

But the bugs have been well noted, and the only thing I&#39;ve seen of it which makes it stand out is the added security when used solo - But when you have PeerGuardian or Sygate handy, it becomes another P2P program, nothing unique.

Bittorent is not a network,(in the sense of the ones you connect to you using a p2p) you use shareaza as a torrent catcher. after you click on a torrent shareaza open it.

Your wrong, niether of these conseal your IP such as the proxy use in ES5.

Also Shareaza has many advantages over KaZaa, such as getting quality exe verifieds through ShareReactor.

Kazaalite is good, but dont get angry because this person is simply stating his opinion... I hate people who bash other software just because its not the software that they use. Shareaza has some seriously cool features. The torrent support is the coolest idea, but it needs tweaking... Alot of &#39;Raza&#39;s features are pretty innovative. but take a look at my post here.. you&#39;ll see who i think wins in the end.

Last time I saw, Shareaza was a multi-P2P client and was connecting to multiple existing networks rather than one of its own. It utilises the multiple networks, including FastTrack; in effect it&#39;s accessing the same users, the same files as Kazaa Lite does.

Did that change while I was stoned?

If he was recommending it as part of a constructive answer for someone who needed help, then I&#39;d probably go along with it. To have the whole thing in one post is almost like advertising it. Imagine Kazaa Gold&#39;s "owners" coming in and spouting its better than KL on every level - Would you tolerate that?

Besides, Shareaza has been discussed before - Why start a whole new topic about it?

I hate people who bash other software just because its not the software that they use.

I&#39;m guilty as charged there - I&#39;m unfortunate to admit that - but considering that others have reported problems with accessing for some of the supported networks multiple times, to have someone go on like an infomercial about it in that state seems to be a little bit of overhype.

Shareaza has some seriously cool features. The torrent support is the coolest idea, but it needs tweaking... Alot of &#39;Raza&#39;s features are pretty innovative.

When it delivers more, more useful, more innovative features than the seperate P2P clients which are solely developed for their individual networks, then I will step up to a podium in the middle of the forum and declare that I was wrong. But AFAIK Shareaza still has its problems (including BT support) so there&#39;s no point talking about it like it&#39;s the dog&#39;s b***ocks at the present.
