OK I haven&#39;t been a member here for very long, so I may be wrong here but is it my imagination or has the lounge of late become a far less friendly area?

Don&#39;t get me wrong there are still a lot of great people here and a lot of laughs but there also seems to be a recent spate of bitching and whining and fighting between members. Is this normal for this place or does it just go through phases?

I don&#39;t know about the rest of the members, which is why I am posting I suppose, but I find the whole name calling etc and &#39;you snitched on me&#39; pretty pathetic, and as for the way some members seem intent on pushing the mods to the limit and giving them stick is, for want of a better word, shite.

It&#39;s like a kids playground in here at times in so far as the arguements, don&#39;t get me wrong I have stuck in a few stupid posts myself, but it is geting to be a joke and is the reason I have left other forums in the past. Does anyone have any views on those cause I would be interested to hear them. Thanks.

It hasn&#39;t always been this way.

You are correct on the phase thing, but I am afraid that this downturn has been coming for a while.

I remember when I first joined (not too long ago), this was the Spam/Adult/everything else area where everything that isn&#39;t covered by the various worlds is posted.

Now, it seems like less and less people are coming in and posting here.

That could also be contributed too the summer time, where some are on vacation, and others are parting and drinking.

Please take no offence in this, but we are pushing the limit.

Possibly, thats why Mods are closing topics and not leaving a reason why. Mabey this is getting out of hand. Lets give the moderators a break.

Not sure by this if you mean me, but I don&#39;t bother about it all . I just get fed up going into topics only to get half way through to find two or more idiots throwing names at each other. I thought the time of year was affecting things as the heat may be too much for some . I did also notice some of the more familiar faces had drifted away.

Sorry, I was reffering to the bad people of the lounge area in general, not you/us.

Yea, I pretty much only post in the lounge; its the least strict area and I like it&#33;

I think alot of people noticed the decline, for instance I haven&#39;t seen tikibonbon in a while.
I don&#39;t know that a single person noticed just how subversive my "Can you tell?" thread was.
I was hoping the general discussion would turn from noticing people&#39;s differences to accepting them. That didn&#39;t happen. I think certain people from certain places will always shun certain users because they are different, and it is human nature to surround yourself with people with whom you have things in common with. In short, its a country specific Kabal. The problem with it is you can never experience anything new like that, being surrounded by "your own" all the time. This is not a flame, just an observation. On the upside, its easier to keep track of your ongoing posts if they are fewer&#33; Which lately is the case.

Seriously though, it seems to go in cycles, I stopped posting here because of the bitching, then it improved, now things seem to be going downhill again.
