Ok, i have d/l several movies and i cant get them to play. get error messages from unsupported format to FOURCC error. i have d/l a million codes and players. This is really frustrating as i wait hours to d/l then cant play anything. any suggestions will be deeply appreciated.

Uninstall everything, AND DON'T START OVER!
Go to google, and find something to scan for what codecs are used in your file.
Download them. Codec 55 (Audio) is tough to find, but easy if you know where to look. To get 55, download the Windows Media Player Encoding pack, from Microsoft. A shit load of other problems can be fixed with DivX pro.
