    I live in NY, so frozen lines are common place here. When the lines go down, or the cable goes out Verizon takes their sweet ass time to get to you.

    kostnkost I have the EXACT same situation as you! I live in NY, I have optimum online, I hate them, my only other choice is verizon!, and i hate them too!

    hmm.. have you thought of setting your bt client to stop seeding when it hits something like 4:1 ? that way you can upload at your max speed and when you hit 4x the upload to download you will stop uploading. only way this wouldn't work is if you download like ... i dunno 6+ gigs a day or something around that range.


    edit: I just noticed: Is this a cable ISP? If so just hack a cable modem and use it for uploading. If they cap you then just change the mac address to another one.

    Besides they took my cap off a few months ago and i'm good to go for now.
