Most Overrated Band

ohhhh...... the Rolling Stones are one of the most influential bands of all time. Nameing off all there great songs would be pointless. Just look at all the generas of music that sprouted up because of them. Without the Stones there would be no rebellious rock. The Stones directly caused the Beatles to take drugs and create more, instead of the saccarine tinged "I wannaaaaa hhold you're hand" pap.

And without the blues, there would be no Rolling Stones.

And without black accapella and latino guitar there would be no blues.

So with out former slaves and illegal aliens, there would be no "rebellious rock"

It all comes from somewhere.

True, it does all come from somewhere. You could probabally trace it all the way back to whoever created the universe. But would you call God overrated for creating the universe? The Stones and the Beatles were genera influential, like muddy waters and B.B. King before them.

Nirvana was way over hyped, but they did open up a whole genera of music to a lot of people. Nirvana almost single handidly created modern rock radio stations.

I think nirvana is one of the worst bands ever. i get a lot of shit for saying that-from my friends(not musicians and not exactly cultured) but honestly as a musician i can say they are/were horrible, it actually pains me slightly to listen to that whiny ass-clown.

if your a nirvana fan plz dont bother flaming this post, your already sad enough for liking the band plz dont embarrass yourself by defending them

Never heard but one song from Silverchair, and it was called "Untitled". Sounded like a the theme for a someone who is very depressed or holding a rage inside of them.

Anyways, I thought these were overrated at the their time:
Static X - A few good songs, but the rest get annoying because of the dude's voice...eh
Brittany Spears - ...how she has crashed and burned now of days.....even the slutty album didn't save her.
Jay Z working with Linkin Park - Collision course...literally. Bam!, nothing new.
Metallica and Tu-Pac - Loads of albums, but the songs are nothing new now of days. There are some people that are fan-addicted to these still. They should try some other music too. Maybe Fuel...or Sean Paul (shake-dat-ting----miss canna canna....)
