Best Cases

can anybody recommend a good brand?
or even better can you recommend a good case (i'm looking for a midi ATX).

nobody mention Coolermaster because its a little out of my price range (£30-ish)

In my experience Aopen are quite good, but generally speaking u won't get a very good case for 30 quid. http://www.ebuyer.com has some under 30 and they have user ratings, some scored quite highly so they might be worth a look.
Can u take the power supply from ur old case, cos if so u might be able to get more for ur money.(some cases come without power supplies)

Lian Li are generally considered to make the nicest looking cases, but they are usually priced fairly high.

on a budget, i think some Enermax cases offer a fancy, expensive appearance without breaking the bank.

appearance is pretty low down on the list of neccesities
important factors are:

- ease of use (not too many screws, easy to open and fiddle stuff around, no hand cutting)
- sturdy construction
- space (i'm thinking about having two fans)
- air flow (no idea how you can tell if its good or not)

I use this on a secondary pc, may not be top name brand but it looks nice and gets the job done.
It allows for 2 fans in front, 1 on back, 1 one side and of course out exhaust from ps.

That case looks sturdy as hell. For 30 pounds, you can't find much of what you're looking for. If you go to tigerdirect.com, they have a bunch of high-performance cases, but they ain't cheap.

You don't say which processor you have/are thinking of, but unless you are thinking of water cooling make sure you get a case with the recommended sort of power supply.

Here's a link to amd for their recommandations (sorry, the document's a bit big), I am sure intel have a similar recommendation.

I think most cases should now follow the requirements, but check if you aren't sure, an overheated processor can work out expensive for the sake of a couple extra pounds spent on the case.

yeahh www.tigerdirect.com has some really good cases for cheap! they also have Thermaltake..which cost like 180 bux..but there sooo good looking! lol
