    it happened to me before once. i just clicked the lost password link, put in my email address, and it emailed me a password.

    I dont think he got scammed when u got invite for FTN url of invite are http and we all know that http is always under attact so its very hard to even access to site..maybe if he use https on that invite could be all ok,but since he try to access the site many times from that invite maybe system just ignored his invite IMO
