    i dont like gotomypc...way way way too slow. can anybody recommend a better one?

    try ultravnc or tightvnc

    can say for certain that tightvnc is considerable slower than windows RD, even with max compression on tight vnc. Don't have any experience with ultravns though.

    only on xp pro, not home. if you want to connect to your computer through remote desktop from a computer without the remote desktop client, copy the following files to a flash drive..


    c:\windows\system32\mstsc.exe
    c:\windows\system32\mstscax.dll

    Get XP pro and use the built in Remote Desktop Software. More then gets the job done mate.
