i tried to do that but didn't get an invite
few people got an invite by completing that app

yea i got in to both the vault and the place by applying on irc. as long as you have a genuine reason to get in, you will easily get an invite. but if you're just a collector or level hunter, the ops there are smart enough to spot it easily.
