I hear a lot of people saying that rap has bad lyrics. Thats probably because they are listening to commercial shit like 50 cent, souljah boy, etc. Go get yourself some immortal technique, jedi mind tricks, mos def, talib kweli, wu-tang clan, dead prez.

New rap is very infant and it is avoiding revolt... And revolt is essence of rap.

Rappers aren't "supposed" to be rich and "famous"...

Hail to Wu-Tang, 2Pac, NWA, Eazy-E, and rest of the crew.
You mean that those were not rich? Or do I missunderstand you?

They are rich but they didn't started rich OR FOR GAINING PROFIT.

Artists I mentioned started to show and express the revolt and fury because of modern society discriminate black people...

That is also making BIG difference in lyrics. Read some of Wu-Tang (or Wu-Tang member/s...) lyrics and you'll understand what I sad...

If you aren't ironic, I am glad.

Although, I think it is very interesting that a lot of people I spoke with hate rap. So, there is sometimes that stereotypical situation: rock lovers hate rap (and rappers) and mirror.

Rap is my cup of tea, while rock is not. Actually, there are some guitar bands I adore.

But @ "the end" I am more into Rap than Rock.
